Weekly Zags in the Pros Update

NBA: 72nd NBA All-Star Game Christopher Creveling-USA TODAY Sports

Domantas Sabonis played in his third All-Star Game last weekend, racking up six points and four rebounds in a winning effort for Team LeBron. He got back into the swing of things as well with Sacramento, posting 18 points, 17 rebounds, and ten assists on Thursday for his seventh triple-double of the season.

Andrew Nembhard also got some court time in Salt Lake City, with two points, three assists, and three steals during the Rising Stars Challenge. He was back in action with 13 points, three assists, and a pair of steals in a win over the Magic on Saturday.

Kelly Olynyk put together an All-Star type performance just before the break, scoring 28 points with 14 rebounds and six assists against Memphis. He had 18 and ten boards in the game prior, giving him back-to-back double-doubles and three total on the year.

The BC Block Party was in full effect right before the break, with Brandon Clarke swatting three shots to go with eight points and ten boards in the win over the Jazz. It was his third three block game this season.

Corey Kispert posted his ninth game with at least four three-pointers back on the 16th, finishing 4-5 from deep en route to a 15 point outing in a win over Minnesota. He’s shooting 40.8% from beyond the arc this season.

Jalen Suggs was two points shy of a season high back on Valentine’s Day, putting up 24 on 9-12 shooting with four assists against the Raptors. He also had 14, five rebounds, and a pair of assists against Nembhard and the Magic on Saturday.

Zach Collins has scored in double figures in four straight games and is averaging 12.5 points in February, his highest total in any month this year. He had 15, five rebounds, two assists, and two blocks for the Spurs on Saturday.

Rui Hachimura had a strong performance coming out of the break, putting up 14 points on 5-9 shooting from the field in a win over the Warrirors last Thursday.

David Stockton did Stockton things before the break, notching his fourth 15 assist game of the year with 15 points, 15 dimes, and five boards for Fort Wayne on the 15th. His 9.6 assists per game rank second in the G-League.

Jeremy Pargo has been heating up down in the G, including a 22-point, 11-rebound performance back on Valentine’s Day. He’s also totaled 26 points and 11 assists over his last two games, both wins for the Windy City Bulls.

Nigel Williams-Goss had one of his best games of the year on Thursday for Real Madrid, putting up 12 points and three assists in a EuroLeague win. It was his second highest point total this year and his most assists in a game since January 8.

On the women’s side of the EuroLeague, Courtney Vandersloot made her season debut for Fenerbahce on Wednesday, leading them to a win with 11 points, 12 assists, and four steals.

Admon Gilder has scored 20 points in each of his last two games in Israel, getting back into form after not playing for nearly a month. He’s averaging 20.9 points on the season, third most in the Israeli National League.

Anamaria Virjoghe put up rookie career highs of 21 points and 19 rebounds two Sundays ago for Esperides, as well as 18 and 15 in her last game. She leads the Greek A1 League with 11.3 rebounds and is third with 1.5 blocks per game with just a handful of regular season contests remaining.

Elsewhere in Greece, Cierra Walker and Emma Stach have helped lead Niki Lefkadas wins in three straight games and four of their last five. Walker had 32 points in the back of eight three-pointers on Wednesday, her most points and threes in a game during her rookie season. Stach added 19, seven boards, and three assists in a win on Sunday.
