The five-star PG had other things in mind.

Five-star point guard Jaden Bradley committed to Alabama today, passing up the likes of Arizona, Florida State, Gonzaga, Kentucky, and North Carolina.

The Zags have been hot on the recruiting trail for Bradley, but there weren’t too many in the recruiting sphere who found it likely that the IMG Academy product would head to Gonzaga in the end. Bradley, who ranks as the No. 3 point guard in the nation according to the 247 Sports Composite, would have been a nice edition to the Gonzaga backcourt considering that Andrew Nembhard will graduate.

It was not meant to be, however. As it stands for the Zags, at this very moment, that is also rather alright. Gonzaga will still enter the 2022-23 season with a solid backcourt consisting of (most likely) Hunter Sallis, Dominick Harris, and (some people have him as a one-and-done and others don’t, so who knows) Nolan Hickman. The Zags will also most likely hit the transfer market hard to find some more backcourt help if the situation calls for.

As it stands, the Zags’ Class of 2022 is rather light, having just recently landed its first recruit in forward Braden Huff.
