The Gonzaga Bulldogs women’s basketball team has released their non-conference schedule, and it is a rigorous one. The Zags will face six teams that advanced to last year’s NCAA Tournament, highlighted by the defending champion Stanford Cardinal.

The non-conference schedule will feature five home games out of the 12, and the Zags will take part in the Rainbow Wahine Showcase in Honolulu over the Thanksgiving Break. The jewel of the slate is the game against Stanford, however.

The last time the two teams met, the Zags upset the Cardinal, 79-73, in 2019.

Although the Zags took some huge hits to the roster, with the Wirth twins and Jill Townsend graduating, they return their backcourt with Cierra Walker and the Truong twins. Additionally, Yvonne Ejim had a stellar showing in the U19 World Cup over the summer and they welcome the highest-ranked recruit in school history, five-star prospect Bree Salenbien.

Here is the women’s non-conference schedule:

  • Nov. 6 vs. Central Washington
  • Nov. 11 vs. Montana State
  • Nov. 14 at Montana
  • Nov. 18 vs. Idaho State
  • Nov. 21 vs. Stanford
  • Nov. 26 vs. Utah (in Honolulu)
  • Nov. 27 vs. Eastern Illinois (in Honolulu)
  • Nov. 28 vs. Hawaii (in Honolulu)
  • Dec. 3 vs. Wyoming
  • Dec. 8 vs. Washington State
  • Dec. 12 vs. Stephen F. Austin
  • Dec. 19 at UC Davis
  • Dec. 21 at Eastern Washington
