WCC Releases Men’s and Women’s Conference Slates

Conference play begins on Dec. 30

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: NOV 15 Texas A&M at Gonzaga

The West Coast Conference has released both the men’s and women’s conference slates for the 2021-22 seasons. Conference play will begin for both Gonzaga Bulldog teams on Dec. 30.

One of the key takeaways from the Zags’ schedule is closing out on the road. The Zags will finish the season at San Francisco and at Saint Mary’s, two solid road environments to help build momentum going into March. The WCC also managed to schedule the home contest against Saint Mary’s when the students will be back from Winter Break for once.

The Zags open with two games on the road before hitting three at home, San Francisco, Pepperdine, and BYU. Luckily, BYU comes to Spokane the week after the students return.

On the women’s end, the Zags open at home and close at home. Senior Night comes against Loyola Marymount, but February also will feature two games against BYU, presumably the team that will be battling the Zags for the top spot in the conference.
