Not a whole lot of Zag action on the final day of the NBA Summer League but some significant news came from the Philadelphia 76ers. It was announced that Filip Petrusev, the 2020 WCC Player of the Year, signed a one-year deal with Anadolu Efes in Istanbul, Turkey. “We think Petrusev is someone who has a real chance to help us down the road. He’ll likely start overseas and be someone who could come over later,” said Philadelphia’s President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey.

Joel Ayayi logged 22 minutes in his final summer league action with the Lakers against the Warriors. He finished 2-3 from the floor while grabbing 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Ayayi will end up splitting time with the Los Angeles Lakers and the South Bay Lakers as a two-way player during the regular season.

Finally, a big congratulations to NBA Summer League champion Johnathan Williams as his Sacramento Kings demolished the Boston Celtics, 100-67, to take the crown. JWIII got his name in the box score with 2 points and 1 rebound in about 4 minutes of play.
