A week off from playing basketball is exactly what the doctor ordered as the Gonzaga Bulldogs women’s squad rose up to No. 16 in the latest AP Poll.
Gonzaga didn’t have a game last week thanks to the WCC Tournament and held a bye until today’s semifinal.
Presumably, if the Zags win out, there is a good shot they will finish the season ranked within the top 15. Quite the achievement for such a wonky year. That will be easier said than done, however. The Zags will most likely face a tough challenge against the BYU Cougars in the WCC Tournament Championship game. The Cougars are the one WCC team to defeat Gonzaga this season.
