Gonzaga is Still the Best Team

Baylor is back to No. 2.

The world has returned to normal, with the Gonzaga Bulldogs owning a large majority of the first-place votes in the latest AP Poll and the Baylor Bears occupying the No. 2 spot.

For a short week, the Michigan Wolverines laid their claim to the second-best team in college basketball. However, since the great Michigan/TSSF Twitter War of 2021, the Wolverines have gone 1-2 and dropped to fourth place.

Baylor rose back up to No. 2 from No. 3 and Illinois rightfully jumped past Michigan for No. 3. Iowa stayed at No. 5 to round out the top five.

Elsewhere around the poll, the BYU Cougars remain on the outside looking in, and, barring an upset in the WCC Championship tomorrow night, will most likely finish the season as the one of the better teams in college basketball, but not one of the top 25.

Also, in an interesting note, someone must’ve accidentally voted for the San Diego Toreros instead of the San Diego State Aztecs.

Here is the full AP poll for the week.
