The past first round was one of the more wild ones in recent memory. There were upsets galore, but more interestingly, we saw our first COVID-related departure from the NCAA Tournament, with Oregon advancing after VCU had to withdraw.
Can the second round continue with the intrigue? No. 1 Illinois vs. the criminally underrated No. 8 Loyola Chicago is the perfect tipoff for the morning. No. 15 Oral Roberts and No. 13 North Texas look to continue their surprising “runs,” and Oregon State will go for its second NCAA Tournament win in 30 years.
After a year of no madness, March has provided, and then some.
