Gonzaga vs Pacific Preview/How To Watch

Game day is here

Tyler Tjomsland | The Spokesman Review

Two weeks ago, Gonzaga was coming off a subpar performance against Saint Mary’s. They took out all their frustrations on Pacific when the Tigers visited Spokane. They went up 52-21 at halftime and cruised to a 46-point victory. Jalen Suggs spent the final 10 minutes chasing a triple-double, but fell two assists and a point shy.

Now, after a wild week of speculation and rescheduling, Gonzaga will head to Stockton for their third straight road game, to take on the Tigers. Nothing much has changed since their first meeting. The Bulldogs won two convincing games since then, while Pacific took BYU to double overtime before calling to the Cougars in Provo.

Pacific is last in the conference in effective field goal percentage and second to last in defensive efficiency. On paper, Gonzaga should win in another route. But after playing BYU tough last week, it’s possible that Damon Stoudamire’s team is rounding a corner. At the very least, you know they’ll play physical. In four of their last five meetings in Stockton, it has been a single digit game with under 10 minutes remaining.
