The Gonzaga Bulldogs face off against the Loyola Marymount Lions with a lot riding on the line.

A win tonight would give the Zags an undefeated regular season, their first in history and the first in college hoops since Kentucky in 2015. A win tonight would give the Zags their 51st-consecutive win at home, a new program record.

The Zags have been in this position before. Many of us remember the game that shall not be spoken off in late February of 2017 against BYU. LMU, led by Eli Scott, is a big and physical team. Santa Clara’s height gave the Zags issues—will the same happen today?

Gonzaga entered this season with a lot of expectations. Perhaps the only thing to have gone wrong is the short spell the team was sidelined by COVID. Gonzaga has been the No. 1 team all season and is on the verge of doing something no other Zag squad has ever accomplished. Let’s enjoy it.
