The Gonzaga Bulldogs face off against the Lewis-Clark State Warriors on Friday afternoon for the rare second exhibition game.
It is an interesting contest in that both Gonzaga and LC State faltered in their respective championship games last season. LC State lost to Shawnee State. With it, a large chunk of the team also left, with the Warriors only returning one starter in Khalil Stevenson. However, with other key role players returning, they opened the season ranked No. 20 in the NAIA preseason poll and already have rattled off three regular season wins, winning by an average of 44.7 points.
Of course, that train is going to stop in Spokane, but LC State should provide a nice challenge for the Zags looking to learn a bit more about the team in the exhibition.
