The long offseason is almost over, and we have a bit of Gonzaga basketball slated for right around the corner with the annual Kraziness in the Kennel event on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 1:00 pm.

Normally a free-wheeling sort of event, with ticket policies in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, this year’s Kraziness in the Kennel was ticketed and distributed online, with students having to reserve a ticket for the event.

Considering that it is the first time since forever that The Kennel can reach capacity, it is bound to be an entertaining event. The annual event features a three-point contest, a dunk contest, and a quick scrimmage between the Gonzaga players. It will most likely conclude around 2:00 pm.

There is an important guest in tow for tomorrow’s event. Class of 2022 five-star combo-guard Anthony Black will be in attendance with his official visit to Spokane that weekend. Black is ranked as the No. 25 player in the 247 Sports Composite and has been rocketing up the rankings due to his unique size (6’7) and his ability to command the point position.

Black has also taken visits to Texas, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State.
