Mark Few pleads guilty to DUI

He will pay a $1,000 fine and complete community service.

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-USC vs Gonzaga Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Gonzaga Bulldogs men’s basketball head coach Mark Few pled guilty to driving under the influence, stemming from an arrest in Idaho a few weeks ago.

Few entered the plea on last Friday, saying he was “pleading guilty because I am guilty.” He must pay a $1,000 fine, preform 24 hours of community service, complete a required drug and alcohol class, and use an ignition interlock device on his car for the next year.

In addition, Few will miss the remaining first three contests of the season: two exhibition games and the season opener against Dixie State. Few already was not on the sidelines for Kraziness in the Kennel.

With the plea deal, the Few DUI saga comes to its legal close, although we can expect the echoes of that acronym to resonate in away arenas and hostile crowds throughout the rest of the season.
