Colbey Ross is a special player. Pepperdine has been blessed to have such a talented guard be with the program for the past four seasons. Ross was listed on the preseason Bob Cousy Award watch list and is considered to be one of the best point guards in the entire nation.

Currently, Colbey is averaging 16.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 1.5 SPG, and leads the WCC with 7.4 APG. The 6’1” senior from Aurora, CO recently led the Waves to a massive upset over BYU this week, 76-73. Ross had an impressive stat line with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals in the victory over the Cougars.

It doesn’t get any easier for Pepperdine as they have to welcome #1 Gonzaga into Firestone Fieldhouse. I caught up with Colbey before the matchup and not only talked about the Bulldogs but about his future professional path in basketball.

Make sure to watch Colbey in action against Mark Few and the rest of the gang tomorrow on ESPN at 8 PM ET. It should be a doozy.
