Hunter Sallis, Gonzaga’s top priority recruit at the guard position, announced Sunday night that he will make his college decision at the end of March.
I will be announcing my college commitment on Friday, March 26. Stay tuned. #AGTG

Sallis, a 2021 combo guard from Nebraska, is ranked sixth in the country by 247 Sports. His composite ranking is slightly above Jalen Suggs. His list of schools was trimmed to eight in November, but most people believe he is choosing between Gonzaga and Kentucky with Creighton lurking in the background. Recently, the Bulldogs received multiple crystal ball predictions in favor of Sallis heading to Spokane.
If he commits, he would be the highest rated recruit in school history. Of course, the one man who could top that would be Chet Holmgren, the top ranked player in the class of 2021 who has been predicted to go to Gonzaga by several outlets. If Mark Few and his staff land them both, to go with Kaden Perry and Ben Gregg, who is already on campus, that would be quite the star-studded freshman class next season. It’s also still possible that Fanbo Zeng reclassifies to 2021 as well.
With Suggs and Kispert gone after this season, and Joel Ayayi likely following them to the NBA, there are plenty of minutes for Sallis to pick up on the perimeter. Sallis, Andrew Nembhard, and Dominick Harris would likely take the lion’s share of the guard duties if all of this comes to fruition next season.
March 26th is the day prior to the start of the Sweet 16 (as of now). If all goes well, Gonzaga may have one incredible weekend.
