The Gonzaga Bulldogs face off against the Pepperdine Waves today, at 6:00 pm, on ESPN.

The Zags are coming off one of their best offensive performances this year, scoring 118 points in a win over Portland. Joel Ayayi recorded the first triple-double in school history. That helped earn WCC Player of the Week honors for Ayayi for the second week in a row.

For the Waves, this is the first game in quite sometime. Pepperdine has been on pause due to COVID and last played on Dec. 23 in a 79-51 loss to Cal State Bakersfield.

The Zags have won 39-consecutive games against Pepperdine. The Waves last defeated Gonzaga way back on Jan. 18, 2002. That season, the Waves and the Zags traded home wins and both finished the regular season 13-1 in WCC play. Gonzaga ultimately defeated Pepperdine in the WCC Tournament Championship, 96-90, to secure the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
