None of this should be a surprise for Gonzaga fans considering their 2021 recruiting class so far consists of two four-star forward/centers in Ben Gregg, who committed last week, and Kaden Perry. You add in the fact that the Zags are still heavily in the mix for Chet Holmgren, the No. 2 unicorn in the Class of 2021, and recruiting four top-100 big men in the same class ends up looking a bit preposterous.
The Zags are also heavily in the mix for the No. 8 ranked combo-guard Hunter Sallis.
As it stands right now, the Zags have a couple of open scholarships left for the 2021-22 school year, and that is not including early departure possibilities of the likes of Jalen Suggs, Joely Ayayi, or others.
It is safe to assume that currently, as it always is, the foreign market recruiting game is running strong. Often times, those accelerate on the timetable of news to commitment in just a couple of days.
