Every year, whenever the Gonzaga Bulldogs travel to Moraga to face the Saint Mary’s Gaels, it is one of the biggest games of the year.

Why? Because we love to hate Saint Mary’s, that is it. Many of us in the fanbase would love to see nothing more than this team fall flat on their face each and every time they take the court. Petty? Probably. Do I care? Not really.

As always, Saint Mary’s could use the quality win of beating Gonzaga. Although the Gaels have been in pretty much every bubble watch column to date, a win over Gonzaga would essentially solidify at minimum an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.

For Gonzaga, the game in Moraga, alongside the game in Provo, represent the best environment against the best competition in the WCC. Gonzaga looked only 50/50 against LMU on Thursday. Killian Tillie will probably be back on Saturday, albeit, not at full strength. The Zags are going to need every bit of it and more to take down the Gaels on the road.
