Gonzaga Women Rise to No. 11 in Latest AP Poll

Tying the school record again.

NCAA Basketball: San Francisco at Gonzaga James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

The Gonzaga Bulldogs womens’ basketball team rose to No. 11 in the latest AP Poll, tying the previous high mark this season, which also happens to be the all-time school record.

Gonzaga fell to No. 13 after losing to Saint Mary’s a couple of weeks ago. Since then, the Zags have rattled off four definitive wins, and losses up above opened the path forward. DePaul, who was ranked No. 12 last week, lost to Villanova over the weekend and Arizona, the previous No. 11 squad, dropped a game to Colorado on the road.

Now, Gonzaga sits just a few votes away from their first ever top 10 ranking in school history. There might be the opportunity to make the move up as well. Mississippi State, the current No. 10 team, plays on the road against Arkansas this week.

Meanwhile, the Zags will close out the regular WCC schedule on Saturday with a game against the Portland Pilots.

Here is the AP Poll for Week 17.
