A big ‘ol loss will do that to you.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs fell four spots down to No. 15 in the latest AP Poll, ending the streak of climbing and climbing for a new school record.

Rather than cracking the top 10, the Zags hit a massive speed bump in the form of the Saint Mary’s Gaels on Saturday, losing by 10 points in a game that was much less close than the final score suggests.

Because of that, No. 11 will be the highest the team has ever been ranked in school history, and the Zags will have to continue the climb the hard way—winning out. The Zags have pushed through arguably the hardest portion of their schedule, so that is a possibility that likely can be realized. However, the injury to Katie Campbell and the subsequent demolition by Saint Mary’s shows that there are now some questions that need to be answered.

Either way, we will have to wait and see if the fabled top 10 ranking is something that can be achieved this season.

Here is the full AP Poll for Week 15.
