College Basketball Rankings: Little Drama in Top 10

Seton Hall cracked the top 10, other than that, not too much movement up high.

NCAA Basketball: Gonzaga at St. Mary’s Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are still the No. 2 team in the country. The Baylor Bears are still the No. 1 team in the country. The Kansas Jayhawks are still the No. 3 team in the country. The San Diego State Aztecs are still the No. 4 team in the country. We can do this all the way down through ninth-place.

With all the teams up top winning, the only new inclusion into the top 10 is the Seton Hall Pirates, who defeated the Villanova Wildcats over the weekend to provide a bit of drama.

The only news is that Gonzaga appeared to have lost some points, which is rather interesting considering that they walloped Saint Mary’s by such a large amount. On further inspection, all it looks like is one AP voter forgot to finish their bracket. Who knows.

If there is a time for Gonzaga to move up in the rankings over Baylor, it will come sooner than later. Baylor is finally getting to the more difficult part of their schedule and will face West Virginia at home this Saturday, and Kansas at home next Saturday. A loss in either of those games will probably allow the Zags to rise to No. 1 for the second time this season.

Here is the full AP Poll.
