The Zags got another ranked game ahead of them.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs will face their fourth-ranked opponent of the season when they take on the No. 16 Virginia Cavaliers this afternoon.

Gonzaga has already defeated Kansas, Iowa, and West Virginia, becoming the third team in history to beat three AP Top 15 teams in their first four games of the season, joining Indiana (1974-75) and UCLA (1968-69).

The Zags have done it in the weirdest year by reverting to the traveling road show of yesteryear. The Zags have already traveled over 8,000 miles, playing games in Florida, South Dakota, and now, Texas.

This is the fourth all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Virginia. The Zags own a 2-1 edge, with Virginia taking the last game, 108-87 in 2007. Obviously, Tony Bennett was the not the coach at the time.

The Cavaliers opened the season ranked No. 4 but have struggled a bit, notably losing to WCC-foe San Francisco. They still own the No. 3 defense according to Ken Pomeroy.
