The Gonzaga Bulldog’s women’s basketball team rose two spots to No. 23 in the latest AP Poll.

The Zags played one game last week, a tidy 77-68 win over Eastern Michigan University yesterday. Jenn Wirth and Jill Townsend each notched a double-double, going for 18 points and 10 rebounds and 11 points and 10 rebounds, respectively. Joined by Melody Kempton’s 13 points and Kaylynne Truong’s 11 points, four Zags finished with double-digit points.

Gonzaga plays its second game in as many days this afternoon against the University of North Alabama. It will be the final game of the non-conference slate for the Zags. Gonzaga opens up conference play against Loyola Marymount on Dec. 28.
