After a two week pause put a hold on Gonzaga Bulldogs men’s basketball, the No. 1 Zags are getting a stiff re-entry test, taking on Luke Garza and the No. 3 Iowa Hawkeyes in South Dakota.
By all accounts, it should be an exciting contest. Iowa is the one team with a better-ranked offense than Gonzaga, according to Ken Pomeroy. It’ll also be one of the rare occasions the top two offenses meet in a game.
Tomorrow will be the 6th time since '97 a game has had the top 2 kp offenses:

3/27/97 (1) Duke vs (2) Mich St, W 68-62
3/12/06 (1) Duke vs (2) BC, W 78-76
4/5/08 (1) UNC vs (2) Kansas, L 84-66
3/6/11 (1) Wisc vs (2) Ohio St, L 93-65
3/10/13 (1) Indiana vs (2) Michigan, W 72-71
Can the Zags shake the rust off? Gonzaga last played a competitive basketball game in a win over West Virginia back on Dec. 2. Since that game, Iowa has gone 4-0, with decisive wins over North Carolina and Iowa State.
This is the fourth all-time meeting between the two teams. Iowa won the first two matchups back in the 80s. The Zags got their first win in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament, defeating the seventh-seeded Hawkeyes 87-68.
