Gonzaga’s game against Northern Arizona has officially been rescheduled for December 28. They were originally slated to play December 12 before the Bulldogs paused due to Covid-19 protocols.
The Lumberjacks are 0-3 on the season and struggle to score. They have yet to score more than 53 points this season in their three games against Arizona, UC Riverside, and Colorado State. Cameron Shelton and Luke Avdalovic both average in double figures.
With this addition, Gonzaga will now play back-to-back games. They host Dixie State the following day, December 29. Both games will be good opportunities to tighten up some loose ends, experiment a little, and get role players more playing time than usual.
The team is still in talks with both Baylor and Idaho in hopes of rescheduling both of those contests. It feels likely that a game will be placed somewhere in the December 22-26 range. With the long offseason and two weeks off due to the shutdown, tired legs aren’t the biggest concern. When the teams can play the games, they play the games.
