Jalen Suggs Named to Bob Cousy Award Watch List

Awards week is here y’all.

Freshman Gonzaga Bulldogs point guard Jalen Suggs has been named to the Bob Cousy Award Watch List. The Bob Cousy Award goes out to the best point guard in college hoops at the end of the year.

The watch listing is evidence of the hype coming with Suggs as he embarks in what presumably will be his only year at Gonzaga. He is the second McDonald’s All-American recruit in school history, following Zach Collins, and is also the highest-rated incoming recruit in school history.

Suggs averaged 23.5 points per game during his senior year campaign for Minnehaha Academy, and has won three gold medals with Team USA at 2019 FIBA U19 World Cup, the 2018 U17 World Cup, and the 2017 Americas U16 Championship.

The inclusion of Suggs is not a surprise for this list, but let’s give a special shout-out for including Pepperdine’s Colbey Ross on the list as well. Very cool to see that his efforts are being acknowledged on a national level.
