Last night during Numerica Fan Fest, the Gonzaga Bulldogs women’s basketball team announced their full non-conference slate. Just like their male counterparts, it is a bruiser.

The schedule is a testament to the difficulties of this year. According to head coach Lisa Fortier, not a single game transferred over from the original 2020-21 schedule. That the Zags were able to get some high profile opponents down on paper shows the evolution of the program.

The Zags have one home game on the schedule and will be hitting the road for the rest of it. The season begins on Nov. 28 with a game against Oklahoma, followed by South Dakota and No. 1 South Carolina, at the Bad Boy Mowers Classic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Zags will take a quick jaunt from Sioux Falls to Brookings, South Dakota, to play South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits fell in the Summit League Championship to South Dakota last season.

Gonzaga will return home, driving through Laramie, Wyoming, on the way, for a game against Wyoming. Gonzaga defeated Wyoming, 64-54, last season.

Finally returning to Spokane, the Zags will entertain Montana before hitting the road once again. Gonzaga will close out the non-conference slate in Las Vegas as part of Holiday Hoops Classic, playing against Eastern Michigan and Northern Alabama.
