The Gonzaga Bulldogs were once again picked to finish first in the WCC and Joel Ayayi, Corey Kispert, and Drew Timme were all named to the All-WCC Preseason Team.

The Zags received the maximum nine first place votes (teams cannot vote for themselves). BYU landed the remaining first place vote. The Cougars are picked to finish second in the conference, followed closely by Saint Mary’s. Pepperdine, led by senior guard Colbey Ross, are picked to finish fourth.

Here is the complete coaches poll:

  1. Gonzaga (9), 81
  2. BYU (1), 69
  3. Saint Mary’s, 63
  4. Pepperdine, 57
  5. San Francisco, 52
  6. Santa Clara, 38
  7. LMU, 33
  8. Pacific, 31
  9. San Diego, 16
  10. Portland, 10

The Zags had the most players for the All-WCC Preseason team. Voting for the team is restricted to returning players, so no freshmen and transfers are eligible for consideration.
