Former Gonzaga Bulldogs guard Josh Perkins has signed with the Charlotte Hornets, the team announced on Tuesday. Per team policy, the terms of the deal has not been disclosed.

Perkins went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft after finishing his senior season at Gonzaga as the record holder for all-time assists. Perkins averaged 11 points, 6.3 assists, and two turnovers per game his senior season.

He signed with the Hornets for the Summer League, averaging seven points and three assists per game.

The Hornets are not expected to be very good, but it remains to be seen what Perkins role with the team will entail. Presumably, Perkins will see some time in the NBA G League.

Perkins is the fourth member of the 2018-19 squad to land with a NBA team. Rui Hachimura was drafted No. 9 by the Washington Wizards, Brandon Clarke was drafted No. 21 by the Memphis Grizzlies, and Zach Norvell signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Geno Crandall signed to play professionally in the Czech Republic.
