Rui Hachimura is a no-brainer for the NBA and signed with an agent after the season ended. Norvell and Clarke both stated they would go through the process, which allows them to return to Gonzaga if they so choose. Killian Tillie and Filip Petrusev also entered the process, although neither player has been invited to the combine as of yet.
Everyone was positive that both Clarke and Hachimura would leave Gonzaga after their junior years, but some might consider Norvell the surprise. Norvell is one of the most aggressively-focused scoring guards in recent Gonzaga memory, and he is a player who is just as comfortable hoisting up a three as he is barrelling into contact on cuts to the hoop.
Norvell has appeared on a few draft boards circling around the internet, but a combine invite is going to go along way to determining whether or not he will come back for his junior season.
The combine takes place on May 14-19, in Norvell’s hometown of Chicago. Norvell, Clarke, Tillie and Petrusev all have until May 29 to withdraw from the NBA Draft pool and return to Gonzaga.
