Eight teams since one win away from the Final Four. The Gonzaga Bulldogs, off the heels of their strongest defensive effort of the season in a win over Florida State, face off against the No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders, who absolutely dismantled the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines.
For Gonzaga, it is the third Elite Eight appearance in five years, and the second in three years. A win over Texas Tech would mark Gonzaga’s second Final Four appearance in three years as well.
At this point in the tournament, absolutely nothing comes easily. Texas Tech, and its No. 1 ranked defense, are no different.
On the other side of the bracket, No. 3 Purdue looks to upset the laser-focused No. 1 Virginia Cavaliers. Purdue, of course, beat Tennessee in one of the more wild games of the entire tournament. Virginia slogged out a horrific scored win over Oregon.
Both games can be streamed online via NCAA March Madness Live.
