The second day of the Sweet 16 gets underway on Friday, with a majority of the games the average college basketball viewer probably wants to tune into.
Hopefully, they can provide just as much drama as a couple of the games on Thursday did. After Gonzaga defeated Florida State, Purdue and Tennessee had to go to overtime for what could be one of the wildest games of the tournament. Unfortunately, the scheduling committee decided that the game between Virginia and Oregon would be a great way to induce sleep — and it was, with Virginia advancing to the Elite Eight, 53-49.
So with the official “Cinderella” out of the tournament, we look to see what possible upsets remain. Virginia Tech has looked good against Duke this year, albeit, when Zion Williamson wasn’t suited up.
Enjoy a day of basketball without stressing about Gonzaga, and we will get to it all again tomorrow.
