The Gonzaga Bulldogs 21 run begins on today with a game against the No. 16 Fairleigh Dickinson Knights.
It won’t be until later in the day, which leaves plenty of time to get excited throughout the first real day of the NCAA Tournament, also known as the first round, also known as sports heaven.
The Zags are favored by 27 in this game and it will be interesting to see if Gonzaga can beat such a huge spread. The Zags defeated conference opponents by 27 points per game this season, and the Knights KenPom ranking would place them as the third-worst team in the WCC. Although it is the NCAA Tournament, and truly anything can happen, it would be quite the shock if Fairleigh Dickinson is able to keep this game close for any meaningful amount of time.
Presuming the Zags win on Thursday, they would face the winner of Syracuse and Baylor on Saturday, in the second round.
