The Gonzaga Bulldogs 2019-20 quest for world domination officially begins this morning with a season opening game against the Alabama State Hornets.
It is the first meeting between the two schools. The Hornets are picked to finish fourth in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and won’t play a single game at home during their non-conference slate.
The Zags, on the other hand, are picked to finish first in the West Coast Conference, and the Hornets are the first of three tune-up games before the road game at Texas A&M, the Zags’ first major contest.
Gonzaga comes into the season ranked No. 8 by AP voters, much of that hanging by the health of Killian Tillie. Tillie missed the exhibition match and is questionable for returning to the court today (as of this writing on Monday evening). Killian Tillie will not play this evening.
