The Gonzaga Bulldogs are off to mess with Texas in their first road game of the year, taking the court against the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station.
It will be a homecoming of sorts for the Zags. Drew Timme and Ryan Woolridge hail from Texas, and we cannot overlook that as of last year, Admon Gilder was an Aggie.
Gonzaga is coming off of three rather easy wins against three very overmatched opponents. Texas A&M will be a step up, and the road environment will hopefully provide a decent test. Tonight’s game will prove as the beginning of the warm-up for the meat of the schedule. Next week, Gonzaga hosts two games at home before heading off to the Battle 4 Atlantis.
Then in early December, Washington, North Carolina, and Arizona loom. The Zags have looked pretty good so far. Now we can have a bit more to go with our eye tests.
