Zags move up cause everyone else loses.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are back in the top five of the AP top 25 after losses by Nevada and Kansas opened the way for the jump.

The rest of the top five stayed the exact same, consisting of Duke, Michigan, Tennessee, and Virginia.

For the Zags, the losses ahead are the only way to move up in the rankings now that WCC play has begun. It also helps when teams as good as Kansas get blown out by teams like Iowa State, or when teams as undefeated as Nevada get thrashed by teams like Utah State.

That said, the Zags have their best chance this week to take a lump. Gonzaga plays at the War Memorial Gymnasium on Saturday, in San Francisco, and that venue has been a thorn in the Zags’ side in the past decade. USF is also one of the better teams in the WCC.

Either way, we are a top five team again, and that is rad. Not much more to say about that.
