2018-19 Player Preview: Corryn Douglas

The junior is looking for her first bucket

Every member of a basketball team has a role, even if they don’t play minutes on game day. Corryn Douglas is one of those players.

Douglas comes from an athletic family. Her twin sister plays volleyball at nearby Whitworth. Her father played water polo at Humboldt State. Corryn played high school ball in Southern California where she was a two-time varsity captain at Newbury Park High School.

The 6’0” junior guard has played in 14 career games and is 0-for-3 from the field. With Louise Forsyth healthy, Jill Townsend coming off a promising freshman campaign, and Kylee Griffen joining the team, Douglas will probably still be relegated to being a practice squad player.

This season, when she does see action, hopefully the team gets her an open look and she can bury her first basket as a Bulldog. Until then, she will be battling Laura Stockton and Jessie Loera in practice to make them better players.
