It looks like the April 2 visit to Brandon Williams went perfectly, as the Gonzaga Bulldogs are one of the three finalists for the five-star point guard, alongside the Oregon Ducks and the Arizona Wildcats.

The Zags have been back in on Williams after he decommitted from Arizona on the heels of the bombshell ESPN story involving the wiretap of Arizona head coach Sean Miller. The entire time, Williams has kept Arizona in the mix, so it is easy to see a scenario where he returns to the Wildcats, especially as the ESPN article had a few holes shot into it after publish.
Joining Oregon in 2018 would also be a fun ride. The Ducks have the third-best ranked recruiting class, highlighted by five-star center Bol Bol and five-star winger Louis King.
However, if you are looking for immediate turnaround, the Zags can offer more bang for the buck than either squad. Gonzaga is in almost every single too-early top 25 sitting at the top 10, cemented by the decisions of Rui Hachimura and Killian Tillie to remain for their junior years.
On the playing front, the Zags were rather thin at point guard last year, and Williams would be able to immediately step in and get meaningful minutes. If he demonstrates success at running the point, he would present a possibility for Mark Few to run a more two point-guard offense like the Zags did two years ago.
According to Inside the Kennel, Williams will take an official visit to Gonzaga on June 1.
Edit: Williams has bumped his visit up:
