The West Coast Conference Tournament quarterfinals are here and it is finally time for the rest of the WCC to dive into action. The No. 8 LMU Lions defeated the No. 9 Portland Pilots for the rights to face off against the top seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs.

On Friday night, LMU guard James Batemon dropped 29 points to power LMU past the Pilots, 78-72. He was one of five LMU players to score double-digit points in a surprisingly adept offensive showing between the two teams.

Not much has gone right for the No. 10 Pepperdine Waves, but what better time to find your mojo than the WCC Tournament? Pepperdine put on a showing against the Santa Clara Broncos, defeating them 85-69. Kameron Edwards scored 25 points and his fellow Wave Trae Berhow kicked in 23 points. Pepperdine will advance to play the Saint Mary’s Gaels today.

Here is the bracket, and here is today’s slate of games.
