The No. 4 Gonzaga Bulldogs had to fight tooth and nail against the No. 13 UNC Greensboro Spartans to come away with the victory. After a fair amount of heartache and stress, they did, securing the right to play another day, and to grant us fans a bit of a breather.
Thursday provided a few crazy buzzer beaters, with Loyola Chicago doing most of the heavy lifting. Other than that, outside of good, close games, we didn’t have a whole lot of upsets to choose from. Perhaps today will give us a bit more of the Madness that we have come to expect from the first round.
