Life isn’t going to be easy in Gonzaga land to close out the season. Tonight, the Zags begin a tough swing home, with four of the last six games on the road for Gonzaga.
The last time Gonzaga was in Pacific, they entered the half trailing 34-29. They ended up winning the game 81-61. It was one of the only two games Gonzaga trailed at halftime in last season.
Could things be a bit the same tonight? Perhaps. The Pacific Tigers are one of the biggest surprises this season. The coaches picked Pacific to finish eighth in the preseason poll, and here they are standing at third. This is the 15th all-time matchup between the two schools, and Gonzaga has won 11-straight.
The Zags are comfortable as road warriors. Since the 2005-06 season, the Zags are 187-62 in road or neutral games, the top win percentage in the nation over that span. They’ve also won 33 of their last 34 road games in conference play.
