By the time the referees throw the ball in the air, it will most likely be below freezing in Spokane. Inside the McCarthey Athletic Center, the temperature will be downright tropical as the Gonzaga Bulldogs and Washington Huskies meet for the 47th time.
The Huskies own the all-time series, 29-17, but the Bulldogs own the Huskies in the modern era, having won 11 of the last 12 meetings. This extends to Mark Few’s solid mark against Pac 12 teams, coaching the Zags to a 35-18 record. Just remember, if Gonzaga played in the Pac 12, it would finish ninth, or something like that.
This is the second game in a brutal four-game stretch for the Zags. After taking down the Creighton Bluejays on the road, the Zags will face the Huskies, than rattle off games against Tennessee and North Carolina like it is no big deal. Out of a midst of four exciting games, this one still resonates quite highly.
Oh yeah, and Bill Walton is on the broadcast for this one. Take that information however you want.
