The Gonzaga Bulldogs will help ring in the new year with their final game of the non-conference season, taking on Cal State Bakersfield in Spokane.
Gonzaga has rebounded nicely from the first two-game losing streak in years by rattling off three authoritative wins in Spokane. Of course, those three wins have come against less than desirable opponents, but alas, that is how the scheduling goes.
If the game is like anything like the last two, you can get right to pre-gaming for your midnight affairs right as the game starts. In the past two games, Gonzaga has outscored its opponents to the tune of 64-7 in the first 10 minutes. The average halftime lead for those two games was 52-16.
Cal State Bakersfield is better, however. They can rebound and they play aggressive defense. Unlike the past two games, this game should be a bit closer, and therefore, worth watching.
