Four-star center Drew Timme out of Texas has committed to the 2019 class of the Gonzaga Bulldogs, he announced on Wednesday.
So thankful to be in this position I’m ready for the next chapter in my life @ZagMBB @TiptonEdits pic.twitter.com/wj4aCwxuAc

Timme is currently ranked No. 41 overall and joins the stellar class of Anton Watson, Brock Ravet, and Martynas Arlauskas. It is no longer a real question: The class of 2019 is probably going down in school history as one of the best recruiting classes.
Gonzaga beat out the likes of Alabama, Arizona, Texas A&M and Illinois for Timme’s services, and it couldn’t come at a better time. After this season, the Zags will most likely lose Rui Hachimura and Killian Tillie to the NBA Draft. The front court is going to need a bit of refueling, and Timme is primed to contribute quality minutes from the get-go.
You’ll see a little bit of Kelly Olynyk and Kyle Wiltjer in his game. Timme is comfortable starting his slow progression to the post from the three-point line, as seen in the video below.
Stuff like this is why there are so many college coaches at the end of the floor watching Drew Timme pic.twitter.com/kbJHt2dafb

Just reading about how the guy approaches recruiting also made it seem like he had to be Gonzaga’s guy. Brian Michaelson and the coaching staff made it work.
Welcome to the family Drew. Excited for you to arrive, but first, let’s enjoy this season.
