Drew Timme, a 2019 6’10 forward out of Texas, has confirmed he will take his visit to Spokane this weekend, conveniently during Kraziness in the Kennel.

Brian Michaelson has been hot on Timme’s trail for a while, and unfortunately for Gonzaga, so have a whole host of other teams. They are one of 10 teams Timme is currently thinking about.
Timme’s recruitment has been a breath of fresh air in college hoops as it has largely been devoid of showy splashes and grandiose announcements—an odd case considering he is ranked as the No. 41 player in the country according to the 247 Sports Composite Ranking.
Coming to Spokane during Kraziness in the Kennel is the best thing a player can do during this fall recruiting period, and it is hardly a given that it will be the only “fanfest” Timme sees in the coming weeks. However, the best place to sell an arena is when it is packed with fans, and Kraziness will accomplish just that.
Timme would be a massive addition to the already stellar looking class of 2019 for Gonzaga, which features three top-100 recruits in Anton Watson, Brock Ravet, and Martynas Arlauskas. Presumably, after this year, the Zags will lose Rui Hachimura and Killian Tillie to the NBA Draft. That will leave behind Jacob Larsen, Filip Petrusev, and Brandon Clarke to hold down the post, and plenty of minutes available for an upstart freshman hungry to play some basketball.
