Gonzaga is obviously picked to win the WCC

The best part: Mark Few gave his first place vote to BYU.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the runaway favorites to win the WCC regular season crown, taking home almost every single first place vote (coaches can’t vote for their own team).

  2. Saint Mary’s - 68
  3. BYU (1) - 67
  4. San Francisco - 57
  5. San Diego - 52
  6. Pacific - 39
  7. LMU - 31
  8. Pepperdine - 22
  9. Santa Clara - 18
  10. Portland - 15

The best part about it all is pretty clear: Mark Few views BYU as the No. 2 threat in the league. Sorry Saint Mary’s.

Among all of the good reasons why Gonzaga is such a favorite can be seen in the preseason All-WCC team, which features the entire Zags’ starting lineup, except for junior transfer Brandon Clarke.
