2019 recruit Drew Timme, a 6’10 center out of Texas, has announced his decision day will be on Nov. 14. Timme is deciding between Alabama, Gonzaga, Illinois, Texas A&M and Arizona.

The Zags pulled out all the stops for Timme’s official visit to Spokane. He showed up for Kraziness in the Kennel, pretty much the best time to bring any potential recruit to school. The sun was shining and the crowds were cheering in the McCarthy Athletic Center.

Timme is ranked as the No. 41 player in the nation, according to 247 Sports, and the No. 11 center in the nation. Scouts say although he isn’t the most athletic player on the market, he has tremendous vision and feel for the game of basketball, on both the offensive and defensive end.

Many of those scouts are also predicting Timme will end up in the Lone Star State, with five of nine 247 Sports predictions having Timme end up at Texas A&M.

If he does choose to end up at Gonzaga, however, there will be plenty of room for him to get meaningful minutes. Technically, the Zags could enter the 2019-20 season with both Rui Hachimura and Killian Tillie in the fold. The odds of that happening, however, are rather slim. That leaves the Zags with a front court of Filip Petrusev, Brandon Clarke, and 2019 recruit Anton Watson. In short, plenty of minutes for Timme if he wants to follow in a long line of successful Gonzaga big men.
