There’s a lot to catch up on below with respect to former Zags:

• Josh Perkins knows how important he is to the team’s success, and won’t let his detractors impact the way he approaches the game.
• If you haven’t noticed, the WCC schedule over the last two seasons has presented some logistical issues for teams as they adjust to split travel weeks.
• Former Gonzaga big man Ryan Edwards has found a home at Portland State and is enjoying his basketball again.
• One of our contributors, Tuck Clarry, wrote an article for the Inlander that examined Gonzaga’s success at getting players to the NBA as another benchmark for the program’s evolution.
• Speaking of Zags in the NBA, Domantas Sabonis has taken a huge leap in his second season in the league, much to the delight of the Indiana Pacers.
• Gonzaga is now firmly entrenched at #2 in Will Maupin’s latest WCC Power Rankings.
• Jeff Borzello has the Zags at #21 in his latest power rankings at ESPN, pointing out that Gonzaga’s RPI isn’t great...which just proves that the RPI is a joke.
• Senior guard Emma Stach is the linchpin defender for the Gonzaga women.
