Five-star forward Taeshon Cherery has announced his intention to attend Arizona State, shortly after reopening his recruitment after leaving USC.

Of course, Cherry is 110 percent committed this time, because his previous 100 percent commitment didn’t last too long.
Cherry originally chose USC over Gonzaga and five other schools back in June. He decommitted from USC in late December, and a few days later the LA Times posited he was one of the players named in the FBI bribery scandal.
All the meanwhile, it is probably doubtful that the Zags did anything but give Cherry a call. Since he originally decided to go to USC, the Zags added 2018 big man Flip Petrusev and San Jose State transfer Brandon Clarke. Add to that the suspected FBI issue, and that sounds like a bit too much baggage for a school like Gonzaga.
Hopefully, this is the last post that gets written about Taeshon Cherry’s recruitment on this blog.
