With the Orlando and Utah NBA Summer Leagues wrapping up their respective programs, all eyes turn to Las Vegas where the majority of NBA teams send their summer league rosters. A few Zag alums hit the floor on Friday night, the first day of action in Vegas.
Former Gonzaga star Kyle Wiltjer made his debut with the Los Angeles Clippers in Vegas after being included in the blockbuster trade that sent Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets. Wiltjer played 8 minutes and scored 2 points on 1-2 shooting from the field while grabbing an offensive rebound. The Clippers beat the Lakers 96-93.
David Stockton saw a little bit of action for the Phoenix Suns, notching one rebound and an assist in 2 minutes of game time. The Suns beat the Sacramento Kings 89-85.
Jordan Mathews did not play in the New Orleans Pelicans 96-93 loss to the Toronto Raptors.
Several more former Bulldogs will expect to see some time in the Saturday games. Here’s the schedule and where you can watch the games:
- Washington Wizards v. Memphis Grizzlies, 1:00pm PT (ESPNU) - Kevin Pangos (WAS)
- Portland Trailblazers v. Utah Jazz, 3:00pm PT (ESPNU) - Zach Collins (POR), Nigel Williams-Goss (UTA)
